Priscilla Wallace leads the supplier diversity and inclusion efforts for Compass Group/Foodbuy. Her leadership philosophy is the belief that developing strong internal and external relationships through collaboration and dialogue is critical to building a successful supplier diversity program. Priscilla has direct engagement with clients, category teams, and procurement leaders to educate them on the value of utilizing diverse suppliers, identify key business needs, and promote inclusion of diverse suppliers in the sourcing process. Additional best practices include strategic planning and leveraging data intelligence to find and establish the best fit of diverse suppliers and the top categories to focus on to drive inclusion. Priscilla’s team then works collaboratively to mentor and expand the reach of diverse partners into the targeted categories.

To create opportunities for diverse suppliers, Priscilla customizes programs and offerings to meet client needs and stay current with market changes. She has overseen program growth by collaborating with senior leaders who are fully supportive of promoting diverse suppliers. One important tactic has been identifying and embracing more local and diverse suppliers based on market demands.
