Valued Members:

We have been shocked and saddened by the rapid spread of the Coronavirus over the past several weeks. We have heard from many of you about the toll this virus has taken on your businesses, your employees, and your families, and we share your deep sense of frustration and loss. While much remains uncertain as we look ahead to the future, we are committed to supporting your supply chain and helping you to continue, where possible, to provide your customers with superior and safe service. Our teams at Foodbuy have been working diligently to secure ongoing supply in a variety of critical categories—from single-use serviceware to heat and serve options to grab n’ go snacks. These items are essential for kitchens forced to operate with reduced staff.

We have also established a cross-functional Coronavirus task force that includes members of our sourcing, category, communications, quality assurance, and distribution teams. This group meets daily to assess the latest supply challenges, secure product on behalf of our members, and identify alternative routes to market when necessary. In addition, our category managers have established a regular cadence of communication with our supplier and distributor community on the topic of Coronavirus so that we can track all the latest developments and partner to develop mitigation plans. As distributors or suppliers notify us of any changes in delivery or production, we will communicate via our new Coronavirus bulletin. This bulletin will be published regularly and will be shared by your Foodbuy account manager.

We recognize that this is an unprecedented circumstance with significant and unique challenges. On behalf of everyone at Foodbuy, I want to assure you that you are not alone and that we are prepared to help any way we can. We thank you for your partnership and look forward to working together to put this unfortunate situation behind us as quickly as possible.

Sincerely,
Dennis Hogan
